ATI Vision

Alexander Technique International is a worldwide organization of teachers, students, and friends of the Alexander Technique, created to promote and advance the work begun by F. Matthias Alexander. ATI embraces the diversity of the international Alexander Technique community and is working to promote international dialogue.


ATI Mission

To create and sustain open means of global communication for people to discuss, apply, research, and experiment with the discoveries of F.M. Alexander.

To encourage the use of the F.M. Alexander Technique in both human and environmental relationships.

To embody the principles of the F.M. Alexander Technique in ATI’s structure and means of operation.

To provide a means for recognizing Alexander Technique Teacher competence and providing certification for those teachers who qualify.

Site and Lodging

Where We'll Be

The site is situated in the beautiful surrounds of YMCA Geneva Park facility in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. This is situated a 90 minute drive from Toronto.

To travel from Pearson International Airport, you will need to take a shuttle.  We have provided links to companies that offer door to door service from the airport in Toronto to the AGM site in Orillia:

If you are coming from downtown Toronto: You will need to go to the Bus Terminal on Bay St. and take a bus to Orillia. The bus does not stop at Geneva Park so you will need to take a taxi from the drop off point in Orillia to the Conference Centre.  It is recommended to reserve your tickets in advance online or by phone with Greyhound Bus Lines.

How to Book

This year your accommodation will be processed through the ATI office with your AGM registration, right here on this site. Click on Registration page to register.


The price per day covers your room and food. Rooms are available to book from 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is 12pm. On the day of arrival your dinner, breakfast and lunch are included in the day price. Single occupancy rooms $181, Double occupancy rooms $146 per person, per day.


The only choice you have to make is whether you desire a single room or wish to share with another. If you prefer to share please indicate if there is someone in particular you would like to buddy up with.


If you have any dietary requirements please use the box provided on the registration form to indicate what you need or don’t want. We will inform the venue. Upon arrival please make yourself known to the site crew so that connections are made face to face and the caterers know what you need.


Tuesday is a half day for us to pause and digest all we are learning. There will be options for physical activities in the natural surrounds such as hiking, golf and horseback riding. There is a wellness centre that offers intriguing Gravity classes.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel BEFORE September 22, 2013, you will receive a full refund of accommodation and AGM fees, less an administrative fee of $25.00 USD.

If you cancel AFTER September 22, 2013, but by October 15, 2013, you will receive a refund of 50% of your accommodation fees, and a refund of your AGM fee less an administrative fee of $25.00 USD.

If you cancel AFTER October 15, 2013, there will be no refund of accommodation charges, but you will receive a refund of your AGM fee less a $25.00 USD administration fee.
